Set against the backdrop of the Roswell incident in the 1950s, the story follows Zap, Bum, and ME-A2, three alien visitors whose mission goes terribly wrong after an electrical failure leaves them stranded on Earth.

Captured by the authorities and separated in different research facilities, the aliens must find a way back to one another and escape before they become permanent science experiments. Unable to communicate directly, they improvise using human everyday objects and their own bizarre alien logic.

To survive, they play dumb, acting like goofy, harmless creatures while secretly building their way out.
